Specialized
Applications
We create application software to meet specific barcode printing and
data collection needs. Here are descriptions of some of the
applications which we have created and can be adapted to solve specific
problems. Please contact us for further information.
Food Labeling System
For producers of perishable food products, it is efficient to
print labels on demand for each production run. It is common
practice to create a separate label design for each product; this is a quick
short-term solution, but in the long term can present significant
maintenance challenges when dealing with more than 50 or 100 products.
The Food Labeling System stores variable information about individual
products on a database and the number of label designs is reduced to a
few layouts. When it is time to print labels, the operator selects a
product and provides information like the lot number, expiration date,
and number of labels needed. The Food Labeling System retrieves all of
the required product information from the database, combines it with
the correct label layout, and prints the labels. This system reduces
the amount of effort required to maintain label designs and product
information.
Lot Code Labeling System
Designed initially for pharmaceutical/medical product
manufacturers, this system provides a practical and efficient
means of recording lot codes and expiration dates and printing
the information on labels
directly on the packaging.
Prescription Pad Tracking System
Prescription pads for controlled substances must be accounted
for by health care organizations. New pads issued to departments
or individual doctors must be recorded, and empty pads must be logged back in
after all of the prescription forms have been used. PadTrak helps keep
these records quickly, efficiently, and accurately by using barcodes to
record the issuance and return of pads.
Serial Number Control System
Control of serial number labels is of great importance to large-volume
manufacturers of consumer appliance products in order to verify
warranty status and guard against counterfeit products. This system
generates serial numbers as needed for production batches and records
the serial numbers, model numbers, and date of manufacture in a
database. Unused or damaged serial number plates are returned from
production, recorded in the system, and destroyed. The result is a
comprehensive database of all valid serial numbers.
Cable Box Tracker Click here to
learn more
Cable television decoders are typically installed by service companies
working under contract to the cable company. The installation company
must keep track of the decoders provided by their client and which ones
have been installed, retrieved from the subscriber, or returned to the
cable company. The Cable Box Tracker system helps maintain accurate
records efficiently by utilizing the barcode serial number affixed to
each decoder.
WineTally
This system is designed to assist high-end restaurants with extensive
wine cellars to keep precise records of their stock. Each bottle is
assigned a tracking number, and can be precisely located at any time.
Physical inventories utilizing barcode scanners are quick and accurate
and report discrepancies of even a single bottle; miscounts are
eliminated by the bottle tracking numbers. Current stock, sales
records, purchases, and other reports are available.
